An Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer plays a vital role in managing and supporting an organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of systems and providing technical assistance to users. Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Deploy, configure, and maintain ICT systems and databases, including networks, servers, and telecommunications. This includes performing system backups and recovery, conducting server builds, and monitoring operating system software and servers.Â
- User Support and Training: Provide technical support and assistance to users, troubleshoot issues, and offer training to ensure efficient use of ICT resources.Â
- ICT Policy Development: Develop and implement ICT policies that promote efficient use of resources and ensure data security and integrity.Â
- Project Management: Manage ICT projects from inception to completion, including defining objectives, designing plans, allocating resources, and overseeing project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.Â
