The Market Intelligence & Insights Officer will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting key market and competitor data to generate actionable insights. The role supports strategic decision-making across sales, marketing, and leadership functions to enhance business growth and market positioning in the cement and building materials sector.

1. Market Research & Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, customer behavior, and regulatory changes.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies and market scanning to inform business strategy.
  • Build and maintain databases on industry trends, competitor pricing, and market share.

2. Business Insights & Analysis

  • Develop predictive models and analytics tools to support pricing, demand forecasting, and route-to-market strategies.
  • Translate complex data sets into clear insights and executive-level presentations.
  • Prepare regular dashboards and insight reports for management use.

3. Strategic Collaboration

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to shape market strategy.
  • Support the Marketing Director and Commercial team in strategic planning and business development.
  • Evaluate potential business risks and opportunities through data-driven analysis.

4. Tools & Systems

  • Leverage digital platforms, BI tools, and advanced analytics to optimize reporting.
  • Ensure the quality, reliability, and accessibility of data sources and tools used in market intelligence.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, ICT, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in market research, business intelligence, or strategic analysis.
  • Experience in the manufacturing, cement, or commodities sector is an added advantage.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in data visualization, Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills using data.
  • Strategic thinking and high attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
