Job Summary

The purpose of the job is to oversee and coordinate the efficient and continuous operation of the sand plant, cullet sorting system, batch house, and furnace. The role ensures optimal glass melting and bottle production while maintaining safety, quality, and production targets. This position plays a crucial role in material preparation, thermal process control, and staff leadership to optimize manufacturing performance.

Education

  • BSc Degree or TVET Level Certification in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Candidates with additional training in Furnace Operation & Maintenance, Glass Chemistry & Defect Analysis, Energy Management, and Fire Safety & Emergency Procedures are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years as a supervisor in manufacturing industry preferably in batch and melting operations, thermal process control, refractory maintenance, and furnace design & operation.

Desirable Skills

  • Deep understanding of raw materials and melting processes to ensure quality production.

  • Proficiency in SCADA/PLC systems for automated furnace control.

  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving thermal process issues.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities to guide production staff.

  • Excellent report writing and data interpretation skills for performance monitoring.

  • Computer literacy for managing production software and operational documentation.
