Manager – Quality Assurance and Control

Job Summary

The purpose of the job is to ensure that all glass products meet the required standards of strength, clarity, durability, and safety while maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing waste. This role is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes, managing inspections and testing procedures, leading the quality assurance and control team, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, the job holder is responsible for developing quality management systems (QMS), allocating resources efficiently, and implementing risk management strategies to maintain the highest quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

Education

• BSc Degree or TVET level Certification in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Statistics, or related fields.

Experience:

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years as a supervisor in manufacturing industry, preferably within a glass manufacturing.

Desirable Skills

• Expertise in defect identification and resolution.

• Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Expertise in resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to optimize processes and address defects.

• Strong leadership and people management abilities to mentor and guide teams effectively.
