Job Description:

  • Site manager oversees and coordinates construction project, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Their key responsibilities include:
  • Develop and manage work schedules and timelines.
  • Coordinate between subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team.
  • Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Oversee daily operations on the construction site and Monitor progress, ensuring tasks are completed according to the plan.
  • Address and resolve on-site issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations on-site and Ensure compliance with building codes, permits, and legal regulations.
  • Ensure construction meets design specifications and quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the employer, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Document and report on-site activities and issues.
  • Monitor expenses and keep costs within the agreed budget.
  • Address unexpected challenges and delays.

Qualifications 

Qualification: MSc in Civil Engineering, agricultural engineering or related field from well recognized University

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in horticultural projects 

Language Requirement: Proficiency in English, Amharic and Afan Oromo
